AMBER TOWNSHIP — One person is confirmed dead following a two-vehicle crash on US 10-31 east of Dennis Road, Nov. 10, 2025. Emergency crews were dispatched at 11:28 a.m.
“Preliminary information is that there was an eastbound vehicle (Dodge Ram pickup truck) and a westbound vehicle (Chevrolet El Camino). Due to road conditions and possibly speed, the westbound vehicle lost control and went into the eastbound lane and was T-boned, resulting in the crash,” said Michigan State Police Sgt. Michael Cuevas of the Hart post, who was at the scene. “The westbound vehicle was going too fast for conditions; lost control; entered the eastbound lane; and was T-boned. The fatality was the vehicle that was westbound.”
The eastbound lane of US 10-31 was closed in the vicinity of the crash scene as of 1 p.m. Monday.
Cuevas said a press release will be issued after the scene is cleared. “We’re still on scene investigating.”
Mason County remains under a winter storm warning until 4 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Emergency crews responding included Michigan State Police, Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Scottville Fire Department, Ludington Fire Department and Life EMS.
