Aleighcia Renae Lara ran into the arms of her Heavenly Father Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 22. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Sherwood and Nancy Shepler; grandmother, Martha Vargas; great-uncle, Gordon Shepler; aunt, Sheila Shepler; and uncle, Angel Castro.

She was born to Stacie Lara (Shepler) and Juan Lara. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers Austin (Bailee) Shepler and Anson Lara; and her best friend/sister, Laura Herrera. She will be greatly missed by her nieces Olivia Shepler (Austin and Bailee), Maya and Layla Parker (Laura and Christian); great-aunt, Priscilla “Pinky” Shepler; and many extended family members and friends.

Aleighcia was born and raised in Ludington but moved to Wyoming, Mich. after high school. She loved attending stock car races with goals to be a race car driver herself. She had a passion for foreign sport cars, with the Nissan Silvia S14 being her favorite. She enjoyed driving so much that she would jump at the opportunity to take a drive any time of the day.

Aleighcia enjoyed attending music festivals and concerts. She loved gaming, whether it be online or board/card games. She also loved animals, nature, and taking care of her cat and many plants. She was very artistic, skilled with technology, and had an amazing sense of humor. She never failed to make you laugh or put a smile on your face.

Visitation service will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St SW, Grandville. A funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Cook Memorial Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to service beginning.
