Kara Smedley
On Friday, August 8, 2025, the world lost the most incredible woman, Kara Michelle Smedley. She will be loved and remembered forever as the wild, witty, tough-as-nails person she was. With a love for adventure, a devotion to raising her children well, a passion for riding her Harley in the mountains, and an incredible ability to make the best out of anything, her absence leaves a space in our family that cannot be filled.
The depth of this loss is felt by her beloved husband David Smedley, her brother Joseph (Michelle) Miller, her Aunt Leigh Smith, her children Summer (James) Rinker, Sydney Parcell, Stevie Parcell, and their children Hayden, Victoria, Wyatt and Emma, as well as her step children Brandon (Angelica) Smedley, Meagen (Dorian) Hutchison, and their children Sarah, Samantha, Mackenzie, and Rylie.
A memorial gathering to send her off to ride Harleys in the sky with Jesus will occur September 6, 2025 at 2 p.m., at 1196 W Fisher Road in Scottville. Come as you are.
