Ludington Area School District has the following Student Aide positions available:

Ludington Elementary School Student Aide (LES7) – 6 hours per school day: Title 4 hours. The job requires the individual be Highly Qualified. Work with staff to plan and facilitate literacy interventions for small groups of students according to literacy intervention expectations. Requires knowledge of or training in effective literacy instruction and assessment (e.g., Fountas and Pinnell, Logic of English, IDI, etc.). General supervision 2 hours per day that may include outdoor/indoor recess, lunch supervision, before and after school supervision, or office coverage. Other duties as assigned by the school principal. Tentative Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:45 PM with breaks throughout. *Actual hours may differ depending on the needs of students and teachers. LES Student Aide (LES10) – 6 hours per school day. At-Risk 3 hours per day. The job requires the individual be Highly Qualified. LES Student Aide (LES20) – 6 hours per school day. Special Education aide 4 hours, general supervision 2 hours. Must be Highly Qualified and CPI trained (or willing to become trained). Duties include providing academic, behavioral, or personal needs support for students with IEPs Collaboration with special education teacher and general education is needed to ensure compliance with students IEP or behavioral plan. Maintain accurate documentation as needed. Must be CPI trained or willing to obtain training. Support may need to be provided during non-academic activities such as recess, lunch and transition times. Other duties as assigned which may include outdoor/indoor recess, lunch supervision, before and after school supervision. Other duties as assigned by the school principal. LES Student Aide (LES26) – 6 hours per school day. At Risk: 3 hours per day and general student supervision 3 hours per day. Must be Highly Qualified. Work with staff to plan and facilitate academic interventions for students according to intervention expectations. Support may be provided within the classroom or as pull out support. Willingness to attend trainings to stay current with best practice. General supervision may include outdoor/indoor recess, lunch supervision, before and after school supervision, or office coverage. Other duties as assigned by the school principal. Tentative Hours – 7:30 AM – 3:35 PM with breaks throughout. *Actual hours may differ depending on the needs of students and teachers. OJ DeJonge Middle School Student Aide (OJ31) – 6 hours per school day. Must be Highly qualified. Primary duties include providing support for students with medical and personal needs throughout the building. Collaboration with the student, teacher, school nurse, office staff, and administration is needed to ensure student needs are addressed. Willingness to attend trainings to support student needs. Support may need to be provided during non-academic activities such as recess, lunch and transition times. Other duties as assigned which may include outdoor/indoor recess, lunch supervision, before and after school supervision. Other duties as assigned by the school principal. Ludington High School Student Aide (LHS44) – 6 hours per school day. Special Education test reader/homework reader, instructional support as per teacher direction, coverage for 1:1 Special Education Aides during their breaks or as otherwise required, with 1/2 hour lunch based on teacher’s schedule. LHS Student Aide (LHS50) – 6 hours per school day. This position requires basic use of iPads and projectors. Must be able to work cooperatively and with the support of district technology personnel. Must be Highly Qualified and must pass district test. Position will consist of 2 hours student supervision, 2 hours in library and 2 hours in academic center per school day. LHS Student Aide (LHS51) – 6 hours per school day. Special education 1:1 aide. Duties include redirecting student, instructional support per teacher direction, modeling appropriate behavior. Individual must be CPI trained or willing to become CPI trained. 7:45 AM – 2:50 PM with breaks during the day.
