AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 43-year-old Ludington man was arrested following a dispute over service in the Taco Bell drive-through on US 10 after he refused to leave when asked, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The incident occurred Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1:19 a.m. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
The following is other recent activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office:
Friday, Oct. 2, 2026:
- 7:42 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Scottville Road south of Hawley Road, Eden Township.
- 11:40 a.m., larceny of scrap metal, 100 block of North Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township. A total of 21 car radiators and 180 pounds of copper wire were reportedly stolen.
Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026:
- 2:08 a.m., a 25-year-old Custer man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 12:45 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, northbound US 31 off-ramp to eastbound US 10, Amber Township.
- 3:20 p.m., a 30-year-old Tawas, Mich. man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County Friend of the Court warrant, 5400 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 11:43 p.m., a 29-year-old Scottville man was arrested for assault/disorderly person, 100 block of South Main Street, City of Scottville. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026:
- 1 p.m., two-vehicle, hit-and-run crash, no injury, 4400 block of West US 10, Amber Township.
- 4:10 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Quarterline Road south of Countyline Road, Grant Township.
