PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 19-year-old Ludington man received minor injuries after the passenger side door of the vehicle he was riding in was struck by a vehicle which failed to yield and then fled the scene on US 10 near Pere Marquette Highway Thursday, Sept. 10, around noon, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The following is other recent police activity in Mason County:
Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026:
- 5:13 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
- 6:37 p.m., (MCSO), damaged property, windows were broken out of a vehicle, 6100 block of North Larson Road, Sheridan Township.
- 6:37 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 24-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, South Pere Marquette Highway and West Chauvez Road, Pere Marquette Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 10:28 p.m., (MCSO), a 46-year-old Hart woman was arrested on an outstanding felony drug warrant issued in Mason County, Oceana Drive and US 31 freeway, Summit Township. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026:
- 5:13 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road south of Decker Road, Custer Township.
- 8:06 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Shagway Road, Hamlin Township.
- 8:26 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township.
