End of Summer Toy Run will benefit Toys for Tots

LUDINGTON — UAW Local 1464 and the Great Lakes Castings Veterans Committee will hold the End of Summer Toy Run Sunday, Sept. 20, to benefit Toys for Tots.

The rain-or-shine event will begin at the Great Lakes Castings foundry parking lot, 800 N. Washington Ave. Registration will be held from 10 to 11 a.m.

The event is open to motorcycles, cars and trucks. Cost is $20 per vehicle. Passengers may participate for a $5 donation or by donating a new toy. Additional passengers and participants under age 18 are free.

The event will include a poker run with a shotgun start and timed events, along with scavenger hunts for children and adults. Participants may work in teams during the scavenger hunt. Prizes will be awarded for the best and worst poker hands, and the event will also include raffles and door prizes.

Proceeds and donated toys will benefit the Toys for Tots Toy Drive.
