Donald Denton

Donald Martin Denton, 59, of Pentwater, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in Ann Arbor.

Born on Oct. 13, 1966, in Saginaw, Don was the son of William H. and Jacquline M. (Belanger) Denton. He graduated from Chesaning High School in 1984.

Known for his happy, easy-going nature, Don was a friend to all, always seen with a genuine smile and a positive, friendly demeanor. He was a beacon of support and kindness, always there for anyone in need.

Don had worked at Great Lakes Casting for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He enjoyed spending his time in the great outdoors, often found cruising in his truck, camping, or kayaking. Don cherished moments spent on his deck overlooking the river, where he watched and fed birds. His home was filled with the joyful presence of his beloved fur babies, who were as much a part of his family as his human relatives.

Don leaves behind a loving family, including his sons Tyler Denton, Cody Denton, and Keagon Arquette; his sister Luanne Reinhart; and his brother Dave (Julie) Denton. Donald was also a cherished brother to several siblings and an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. His life was enriched by his special friend Charlene and many close friends, including Charlie, Dave Tucker, Larry, Jerry, Loretta, Dylan, Tristen, Ed, and Ritchie, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his son Bradon Denton; daughter-in-law Katie Denton; brother-in-law Dan Reinhart; and his fur baby Andy.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, doctors, and other staff at Michigan Medicine Hospital in Ann Arbor for the care they had given Don during the last three months.

A memorial service will be held on Friday Sept. 11, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Grace Funeral Home in Ludington, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.

There will also be a celebration of life on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Back Forty in Chesaning.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
