Temporary access road opened for Jebavy Drive businesses

August 19, 2026

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A temporary access road has been opened for businesses along South Jebavy Drive as work continues on a new water main.

South Jebavy Drive is closed to all southbound traffic just south of the Express Mart while a new water main is installed across the roadway, according to the Mason County Road Commission. The crossing is expected to be completed by Friday.

Businesses on South Jebavy Drive from LPL Financial south must be accessed using the temporary road connecting Pere Marquette Highway with South Jebavy Drive.

The temporary route is open to deliveries, employees and customers traveling to businesses along Jebavy Drive.

A map released by the road commission Wednesday shows the temporary route running west from Pere Marquette Highway before connecting with South Jebavy Drive south of the construction area.

The overall South Jebavy Drive project is expected to take about three months to complete. Motorists are being asked to use caution in the construction area and expect delays.
