EDEN TOWNSHIP — Eden Township voters approved a six-year renewal of the township’s road maintenance, improvements and brining millage Tuesday.
The proposal passed 108-56, according to unofficial results from the Mason County Clerk’s Office.
The renewal continues a previously approved millage that had been reduced by the Headlee Amendment rollback from 1 mill to 0.9425 mills, or about 94 cents per $1,000 of taxable value. The levy will remain in effect from 2026 through 2031 to fund road maintenance, improvements and brining throughout the township.
If levied in full, the renewed millage is expected to generate an estimated $41,486.43 during its first year.
Unofficial election results showed 108 voters supported the proposal while 56 opposed it.
