LUDINGTON — The Mason County District Library Ludington branch will host the CogNition Mobile Planetarium for one day on Monday, July 13, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the stars and planets through an immersive educational experience.
Three planetarium shows will be offered at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Each presentation will last about 30 minutes and will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Space is limited.
“The planetarium is one of our favorite events,” said Emily Garland, head of youth services. “Because it’s such an immersive experience we have them at the Library every year, alternating between locations. If you missed it last year in Scottville, come this year to Ludington! It’s a great time for families, especially those with elementary-aged children. There is always something new to learn.”
The program is free. Children younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Mason County District Library Ludington branch, located at 217 E. Ludington Ave., will also host a Kit Kat Taste Test for teens on Tuesday, July 21.
The event begins at 12:30 p.m. in the library’s Multi-Use Room, where participants will sample a variety of Kit Kat flavors and rate each one on a scale of one to five.
The free event is open to students entering fifth through 12th grades.
