Yvonne Carlson
Yvonne Jeanette Carlson, 90, of Ludington passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at home. She studied art at West Shore Community College and with private instructors. She shared her love of west Michigan through her paintings of lakes, sand dunes, rivers and birch trees and represents the many places she frequented with her family. Her artwork is displayed in public and private collections throughout the Great Lakes region, North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. After a lifetime of painting, she became a voracious reader and spent time researching and publishing the Carlson family history.
She is survived by Michael and Linda Carlson of Clinton, Tenn., James Carlson of Ludington, Thomas and Debbie Carlson of Grand Haven and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Carlson and her sons Richard Lee Carlson,Daniel Carlson, Terry Carlson and Jeffery Carlson.
For those wishing, memorial contributions are suggested to the Mason County District Library’sHome-bound “Wheelers” Delivery Service.
At her request, cremation has taken place and no public service will be held.
