Marjorie Lokovich

Marjorie Jean Lokovich, affectionately known as Marge, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 96 in her hometown of Ludington.

Born on March 19, 1930, in Ludington, Marge was the daughter of the late Eric and Anna (Grassa-Grundeman) Johnson. She graduated from Ludington High School, class of 1948. On May 26, 1951, she married William Edward Lokovich and they built a wonderful life together.

She worked for many years at Park Dairy and Daisy Mae’s Bakery before moving on to Baywood Nursing Home, where she impacted the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.

Marge enjoyed spending time with her sisters and family. She could often be found singing and dancing with her sisters to their favorite song, “Delta Dawn.”

Marge will be missed by her son David (Cindy) Lokovich of Ludington; daughter Julie (Craig) McCollister of Midland; two granddaughters Lindsay (Justin) Wassom and Paige McCollister; three great-grandchildren Noah, Isabella, and Grace Wassom; sister Marilyn (Ken) Zawacki; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husband Bill Lokovich; brothers Stewart Johnson and Richard Johnson; sisters Doris Clark, Lois Hansen, Frances Shively, and Phyllis Baltzer.

According to her wishes, no services will be held at this time.
