HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — The Jebavy Drive Bridge has reopened to all traffic and is expected to remain open until Monday, July 13, according to the Mason County Road Commission.
The bridge reopened around 5 p.m. Friday as part of an ongoing bridge rehabilitation and preventative maintenance project that began June 1.
Road commission officials said construction work will resume July 13, requiring the bridge to close again for an additional one to two weeks.
The $350,000 project includes replacement of the bridge expansion joint, beam repairs, guardrail repairs and installation of an epoxy overlay on the concrete bridge deck to extend the structure’s lifespan.
When work resumes, motorists will again be detoured via Jagger Road, M-116 and Bryant Road.
The project is scheduled for final completion by Aug. 1.
The Mason County Road Commission thanked motorists for their cooperation during the construction project.
