Meet Miss Ludington Area Garden Party planned July 17
LUDINGTON — The Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program will host a “Meet Miss Ludington Area Garden Party” on Friday, July 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 308 N. Ferry St.
The event will introduce current Miss Ludington Area Ashley McPike to community members interested in learning more about competing in the scholarship program. Organizers also hope to connect with individuals who may be interested in supporting the program through volunteering, judging, scholarship sponsorships and other opportunities.
The garden party will be hosted by Miss America Scholarship Program affiliate sponsors Staci Palma Collins and Susan Juroe. Former Miss Ludington titleholders, current and former volunteers, and sponsors are expected to attend.
Light refreshments, beverages and live entertainment will be provided.
The Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program serves young women from Mason, Lake, Oceana and Manistee counties by providing scholarship opportunities and personal development experiences.
Natalee Urbon, the 2025 Miss Ludington Area and first runner-up at the Miss Michigan competition, said the program offers benefits that extend beyond scholarship assistance.
“Did you know that the scholarship can go toward paying off student loans? And that it helps you with personal interviewing skills, public speaking and networking?” Urbon said. “Not to mention, it surrounds you with a like-minded sisterhood of women who won’t allow you to be complacent but instead motivate you to accomplish your dreams and push you toward success.”
Those interested in learning more about or supporting the Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program are encouraged to attend. RSVPs may be submitted through the Facebook event page, “Meet Miss Ludington Area Garden Party,” or by emailing missludington@gmail.com.
Additional information about the program is available on Facebook at Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program and on Instagram at @missludingtonarea.
The next Miss Ludington Area Scholarship Program competition is scheduled for Dec. 20, 2026, at Petersen Auditorium. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 28 and plan to enroll in or attend a college or university at the time of the competition.
