PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Michigan Quarter Horse Association will return to the Mason County Fairgrounds’ Caswell Horse Park this summer for the MQHA Harbor Classic, a six-day event expected to draw competitors and families from across the region.
The Harbor Classic is scheduled for June 30 through July 5 and is one of the association’s largest annual shows, featuring more than 250 classes. The event is approved by the Michigan Quarter Horse Association as well as the American Quarter Horse Association and National Snaffle Bit Association.
“The Harbor Classic Show is a favorite stop on the MQHA Circuit,” said Kevin Cubitt, MQHA president, in a statement. “With 6 days of competition, it brings not only competitors but a lot of families to this show due to all the attractions that the Ludington area has to offer.”
The event will bring horse exhibitors and spectators to the Mason County Fairgrounds, providing an economic boost for local lodging, restaurants and tourism-related businesses during the busy summer season.
