PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Ludington Area Branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its annual Used Book Sale June 19-20 at the United Methodist Church of Ludington, 5810 Bryant Road.
The fundraiser will take place Friday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. until noon. All books offered for sale have been donated, and proceeds will support scholarships for local high school graduates.
The used book sale has served as the primary scholarship fundraiser for the Ludington AAUW branch since 1964. The organization advocates for women and girls and uses the event to help fund educational opportunities for area students.
The branch is currently accepting book donations. Those interested in donating books may contact Patty Otto at 231-845-7665 or Sonja Siewert at 231-794-8106. Organizers said a storage unit is available through mid-June to receive donations.
