LUDINGTON — Community members are invited to help keep Ludington’s shoreline clean during the Love Ludington Beach Sweep on Saturday, June 7, from 1 to 2 p.m.
The event is sponsored by A Few Friends of the Environment of the World (AFFEW) and The Lakeshore Keepers (formerly Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Assocation) and will focus on cleaning the beach area while promoting stewardship of Lake Michigan and local waterways.
Volunteers who participate will receive two tickets for a tour of the Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse. Bags and gloves will be provided.
Participants should meet at the south concession stand in Stearns Park before the cleanup begins.
