
Shirley Yvonne Ford
Shirley Yvonne Ford, 97, of Hart, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility. She was born May 11, 1929, in Muskegon, the daughter of Charles and Arlie (Stewart) Wilson.
Shirley graduated from Muskegon High School, and following graduation began employment as a phone operator for the Bell Telephone Company. Shirley married the love of her life, John “Jack” Ford, and became a homemaker, raising seven children alongside her husband.
Shirley enjoyed spending time in her garden and working with flowers. She also enjoyed playing games, such as cards and Yahtzee. Above all, Shirley enjoyed time spent with family.
Shirley is survived by her children, Nancy (Jim) Symko, Dawn (Robert – deceased) Tozer, LouAnn (Curt – deceased) Daugherty, Elsie (Wes) Morton, Donald (Scheryl) Ford, Pam (Larry) Doran, and John (Janet) Ford; 22 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Ford; parents, Charles and Arlie Wilson; and siblings, Vera Denman, Donna Wilson, Charles Wilson, and Richard Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Monday, June 1, 2026, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72nd Avenue, Hart with Dr. William Doran officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Elbridge Cemetery.
