LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced Tuesday, May 26, in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court:
Storm
Stephen Lee Storm, 46, pleaded guilty April 7 to second-offense possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and was sentenced May 26 to six months in jail with credit for two days served; 18 months probation; and $198 in fines and costs. In a second file, Storm pleaded guilty April 7 to two counts of second-offense possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and was sentenced May 26 to and was sentenced to a concurrent term of six months in jail with credit for two days served; 18 months probation; and $726 in fines and costs. One misdemeanor count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
Joseph
Jalen Tyjae Joseph, 25, pleaded guilty April 7 to interfering with electronic communications and assaulting a pregnant woman and was sentenced May 26 to 21 days in jail with credit for 21 days served; two years probation; and $708 in fines and costs.
Smit
Lance Corey Smit, 39, pleaded guilty April 7 to third-degree fleeing a police officer and was sentenced May 26 to 10 months in jail with credit for two days served; three years probation; and $598 in fines and costs.
Chavez
Jesus Maria Chavez, 26, pleaded guilty by mental illness April 7 to two counts of assaulting a prison employee and fourth-offense habitual offender and was sentenced May 26 to one year in jail with credit for 227 days served; one year probation; and $266 in fines and costs.
Bautista-Mendoza
Amilcar D. Bautista-Mendoza, 38, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor of reckless driving and was sentenced May 26 to 37 days in jail with credit for 37 days served; one year probation; and $550 in costs, which were paid. A felony charge of third-offense operating while intoxicated and a misdemeanor charge of driving while license suspended were dismissed.
Collins
Harold Ray Collins, 45, was found guilty of probation violation and was sentenced May 26 to 15 days in jail. His probation stems from a Sept. 16, 2025 conviction of attempted failure to pay child support.
