Obituary: Anthony ‘Tony’ Nelson Cole, 55, of Ludington

Anthony “Tony” Nelson Cole, 55, of Ludington, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Tony was born on Feb. 12, 1971, in Ludington, the son of Charles and Cheryl Cole. He was a graduate of Faith Academy. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Fort Sill, Okla., and traveled overseas to Germany. In 1993, he was honorably discharged. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Ludington.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Jada Cole; parents, Charles and Cheryl Cole; brother Kim (Gina) Cole; sister, Laurie (Dexter) Ulman; nephew, Drew (Caitlin) Cole; and niece, Kasey (Jake) Thompson.

Tony was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Theda Paetschow; paternal grandma Melissa Wiable; paternal grandpa Walter Cole; aunts, Barb Stewart and Margaret Malek; and uncles, Ray Stewart and Jerry Mullin.

Services are private, and Tony will be laid to rest at Summit Township Cemetery at a later date.
