The following is recent police activity in Mason County Friday, May 1, 2026 through Sunday, May 3, 2026:
- May 1, 2:41 p.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), retail fraud, 3900 block of West US 10, Amber Township. A warrant is being requested against a 32-year-old Ludington man after he was reportedly captured four times on security video over a 13-day period stealing items.
- May 1, 3:17 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, US 10 west of US 31, Amber Township. No injury was reported.
- May 1, 3:28 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township. No injury was reported.
- May 1, 7:30 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle motorcycle crash with injury, Trail 5153 west of Trail 5154, Logan Township. A 15-year-old Ravanna juvenile sustained non-life-threatening injuries after striking a fallen tree.
- May 2, 1:17 a.m., (MCSO), operating while intoxicated arrest, US 31 south of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township. A 19-year-old Scottville man was arrested after being stopped for traveling 88 mph in a 55 mph zone. Three passengers were cited for minor in possession of alcohol.
- May 2, 6:01 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, Benson Road south of Hansen Road, Branch Township. No injury was reported.
- May 2, 8:19 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
- May 3, 6:23 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, Fountain Road east of Victory Corners Road, Victory Township. No injury was reported.
- May 3, 8:34 p.m., (MCSO), possession of methamphetamine arrest, US 10 and Darr Road, Custer Township. A 31-year-old Fountain man was arrested following a traffic stop.
