The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Friday, April 17, 2026:

• 5:33 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Quarterline Road, Amber Township.
• 7:37 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, M 116 north of Golfwood Drive, Hamlin Township.
• 8:02 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
• 8:28 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Quarterline Road, Victory Township.
• 9:58 p.m., (MCSO), a 31-year-old Scottville man was arrested for domestic violence after deputies responded to an assault in progress with injuries, 1900 block of West Sugar Grove Road, Victory Township. The victim was treated for injuries sustained during the reported assault. The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, April 18, 2026:

• 5:23 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, minor injury, Darr Road and First Street, Custer Township. A 16-year-old Custer girl received minor injuries after she failed to negotiate a curve and hit a tree.
• 10:10 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 21-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without a license following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Harrison Street, City of Ludington. 

Sunday, April 19, 2026:

• 5:43 p.m., (MCSO), a warrant is being requested for a 20-year-old Fountain man for a charge of domestic violence following a call reporting an assault, 4000 block of North Stephens Road, Sherman Township. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies.
• 11:30 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Bean Road, Custer Township.
