Maureen “Missy” Ellen (Francis) Keough, 60, of Ludington, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Missy was born on March 17, 1966, in Marquette, to Douglas and Lois (Radtke) Francis. She was a 1985 graduate of Negaunee High School. She later went on to attend Northern Michigan University. On Feb. 17, 1989, she married her beloved, David Keough. Together they shared nearly 25 years together until his passing in 2013. For years she worked as a CNA, tending to her many dear patients.

Missy was a walking ray of sunshine. She was known to be giving, and caring. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and always found ways to make others laugh with her silly demeanor. She was an active member of the Prayer and Praise Assembly of God church, where she also volunteered her time generously. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, coloring, and crafting. She had a love for music, butterflies, and dancing. Missy was an avid fan of the TV show “Friends” and cherished moments spent with her family, especially her granddaughter, Abigail and her adored “grandpups” and “grandkitties.”

Maureen is survived by her son, Grant (Kelsey) Keough; daughter, Emily (Peter) Melican; granddaughter, Abigail “Abi” Keough; and siblings, Waunita, Amanda, Douglas, twin brother, Sean, Patrick, and Michael.

Maureen was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Keough; and parents, Douglas and Lois Francis.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at Prayer and Praise Assembly of God in Ludington. Light refreshments will follow at the church.
