Margaret Sue Hagan, 94, of Ludington died on Friday, April 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family.
She was born on July 20, 1931 in Detroit, to George and Ruth Newsome,. Margaret worked as an administrative clerk at Blue Cross, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She was united in marriage to Jim “JR” Hagan on October 20, and together they built a life centered on family and faith.
Margaret found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading and camping during the summer months, and she especially cherished her time living on Hamlin Lake in Ludington.
A devoted Catholic, Margaret’s faith was an important part of her life and guided her in all she did. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her five children: daughters Patti Manick (Paul Manick) and Barbara Hagan, and sons Danny Hagan, Larry Hagan (Patty Cantwell), and Matthew Hagan (Fermin Hagan). She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Jeanine Gradin (John Gradin), Steven Schwigert, Samantha Teat (Derek Teat), and Joshua Hagan (Tiffany Needham); and six great-grandchildren: Joshua Gradin, Jacob Gradin, Jax Gradin, Valorie Gradin, Liam Schwigert, and Kasen Hagan.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim “JR” Hagan, and her children, Brian Hagan and Janine Hagan.
Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington on Thursday April 16, 2026.
