Thank you to those who have accepted our request and are now subscribing to the MCP/OCP Daily Briefing. This really helps to sustain local news coverage. But, we really could use more subscribers. We are asking for a small amount – $10 a month, which is about 33 cents a day. In exchange, you receive an email each day, called the Daily Briefing, that provides you with all the day’s headlines. Sometimes we send “Extra” editions.

Historically, readers of newspapers would buy subscriptions or pay for an individual newspaper. This is often the case for online services as well. While we are not quite at the point of creating this type of paywall, we are asking for you to consider this monthly commitment. We still receive support from our great advertisers but in order to keep the standard of service we currently offer, we need to grow our list of subscribers as well.
