MARSHALL — The Ludington Orioles competed in the 2026 Marshall Spring Sports Tournament on Saturday, facing Marshall, Big Rapids and DeWitt, and finishing second overall.

Ludington opened the tournament with a 2-1 win over Marshall. Hestyn Stowe and Eloise Kwietniewski scored the Orioles’ two goals, each assisting the other.

Cambria Britton anchored the defense with six saves. Additional defensive efforts from Kaia Jones, Alex Bousson, Norah Kiessel and Delaney Jeruzal helped limit the Redhawks’ offense.

In the championship game, Ludington kept it close early, playing DeWitt to a 0-0 tie at halftime. DeWitt broke through in the second half, scoring seven goals to secure a 7-0 win.

The Orioles now stand at 1-4-1 on the season and will host Montague on Monday in their home opener and first conference matchup.
