LUDINGTON — The Ludington High School junior varsity girls softball team suffered a heavy loss Saturday, falling 17-0 to Traverse City West in its first game back from spring break.
“We’ve worked on a lot of things this week in practice, and we saw the girls execute what we have worked on,” coach Maggie Bates said.
Rayne Holtrust pitched a complete game for the Orioles, showing durability despite the lopsided score.
“We will continue to work hard at practice, and they will continue to get better,” Bates said.
