BOYNE CITY — Great Lakes Energy has named Kari Crouse as its new vice president of communications and member experience.
Crouse will lead the cooperative’s communication strategy, strengthen member engagement and oversee efforts to enhance the overall member experience, according to a press release from the utility.
She most recently served as vice president of communications and business strategy for Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative in South Pittsburg, Tenn., where she worked on strategic messaging and long-term planning. Prior to that, she spent 10 years with the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in roles focused on member services and engagement.
Crouse holds a master of business administration degree from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Tennessee. She is also a graduate of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program.
“We are excited to welcome Kari to our team and value the expertise, collaboration, and member-focused leadership she will bring to this role,” said Shaun Lamp, president and CEO of Great Lakes Energy. “With a proven track record of leadership and a deep commitment to people and purpose, I look forward to Kari joining our team in service to our members.”
Great Lakes Energy is a not-for-profit cooperative owned by its members. The utility provides energy and fiber services to more than 130,000 meters across 26 counties in rural western and northern Michigan.
