ZEELAND – The Ludington Orioles faced off against Zeeland East and Zeeland West today, drawing a 4-4 tie against East, and falling 0-8 to West.
“I was pleased with our play today,” said LHS Coach Rob Killips. “Zeeland West may be the best team we see all year.”
The Orioles’ #1 and #2 doubles, fresh off their recent flight win in Portland, continue their streak, winning their respective flights against Zeeland East. The #3 and #4 doubles managed to win against Eastern as well, giving Ludington 4 points to force a draw.
“We played really well today,” said Killips. “This was some tough competition, especially for this early in the year.”
