Teen pedestrian suffers minor injuries after being struck by vehicle

SCOTTVILLE — A 17-year-old Free Soil boy received minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old male driver from Branch Thursday, March 19, shortly after noon near Mason County Central High School at the intersection of Broadway  and Reinberg avenues, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

An 18-year-old female from Scottville was also struck by the vehicle, but was uninjured, said Sheriff Cole.

• 1:58 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, US 10 east of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
• 6:18 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, US 10 and US 31 on-ramp. Amber Township.
• 11:20 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 69-year-old Free Soil man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Jackson Road, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, March 21, 2026:

• 1:06 a.m., (LPD), a 31-year-old Branch man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and open intoxicants following a traffic stop near Tinkham Avenue and Nelson Road, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 1:17 a.m., (MCSO), a 24-year-old Scottville man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, Ludington Avenue and Madison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 12:40 p.m., (MCSO), attempted breaking and entering of a shed, 7000 block of E. Sandra Kay, Branch Township.
• 7:34 p.m. a 33-year-old Ludington man and a 37-year-old Ludington man were both arrested on outstanding warrants, 1100 block of South Madison Street, City of Ludington. The 33-year-old man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant issued in Manistee County, and the 37-year-old man was arrested on two methamphetamine possession warrants issued in Mason county. They were lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:19 p.m., (MCSO), a 42-year-old Scottville man was arrested on two outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrants on charges of methamphetamine possession and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, 400 block of North Thomas Street, City of Scottville. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 9:07 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Decker Road, Sherman Township.

Sunday, March 22, 2026:

• 1:10 a.m., (LPD), a 39-year-old Newport, Ark. man was arrested for operating while intoxicated/super drunk following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Jackson Road, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Jagger Road, Hamlin Township.
• 6:41 p.m., (LPD), a 67-year-old Ludington woman was cited for public intoxication, 1100 block of South Madison Street, City of Ludington.

Monday, March 23, 2026:

• 1:39 a.m., (LPD), a 21-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault, 500 block of Sixth Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
