The following is police activity in Mason County activity over the weekend:

Friday, March 13, 2026:

• 3:42 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant issued by Kent County’s 61st District Court, 400 block of East Melendy Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 5:33 a.m., ( Mason County Sheriff’s Office), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway and Meisenheimer Road, Summit Township.
• 5:51 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Pere Marquette Highway off-ramp, Pere Marquette Township.
• 6:09 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage or injury, Chauvez Brye roads, Pere Marquette Township.
• 8:22 a.m., (MCSO), breaking and entering of a pole building, 5300 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 3:31 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, minor injury, US 10 west of Benson Road, Branch Township.
• 5 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Reek Road north of Federal Trail #6722, Custer Township
• 6 p.m., (MCSO), illegal entry, 300 block of South Madison Street, Village of Custer. Subjects of interest have been identified, and a report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
• 7:42 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Taylor Road, Branch Township.

Saturday, March 14, 2026:

• 2:25 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Angling Road northeast of Meyers Road, Victory Township.
• 5:29 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Sugar Grove Road east of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
• 7:44 a.m., (MCSO), a 27-year-old Manistee man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant, US 31 and Countyline Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 10:51 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Walmart parking lot, Pere Marquette Township. A 78-year-old Scottville woman had an apparent medical emergency and struck a vehicle in the parking lot. She was transported by Life EMS to Corewell Health Ludington Hospital and then flown to a downstate hospital for further treatment related to the medical situation.

Sunday, March 15, 2026:

• 12:15 p.m., (MCSO), a 38-year-old Ludington man was arrested for assault following an altercation roadside with another male subject, 6600 block of Basswood Street, Hamlin Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. No injuries were reported
• 8:06 p.m., (MCSO), a 38-year-old Custer woman was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant following a traffic stop, Dunbar and Hansen roads, Branch Township. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
