LASD to interview three superintendent candidates

March 11, 2026

LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area School District Board of Education has selected three candidates to be interviewed for the position of superintendent.

Those candidates include: Frank Marietta, Travis Walker and Jonathan Wennstrom.

The board made the decision during a special meeting Tuesday. It had received 19 applications for the position to replace Dr. Kyle Corlett, who resigned in December.

The board will hold interviews, which are open to the public on Wednesday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19 at the O.J. DeJonge Middle School cafeteria.

Marietta is currently assistant principal of Ludington High School. He will be interviewed at 6 p.m. on March 18. Walker is superintendent of Brandywine Community Schools and will be interviewed at 7:30 p.m. on March 18. Wennstrom is principal of Riley Elementary School at Livonia Public Schools and will be interviewed at 6 p.m. on March 19.

“We appreciate the candidates interested in becoming the next leader for the Ludington Area Schools,” said Stephanie Reed, president of the board of education. “We look forward to the coming interviews and are interested to learn more about the candidates’ abilities and attributes as well as what each candidate has to offer our students, staff, parents, and community. As always, the Board values input from the public and strongly encourages people to attend the interviews.  It is our hope to have a new superintendent in place on July 1.”
