LUDINGTON — A 52-year-old man was sentenced to two to 30 years in prison in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, March 10, for convictions of methamphetamine/ecstasy possession, felony firearm, receiving and concealing stolen property $1,000-$20,000 and fourth-offense habitual offender, according to court records.
Benjamin Carl Meyer pleaded no contest to the charges, Jan. 13. Two additional counts of felony firearm and possession of a short-barreled shotgun were dismissed, court records state.
Meyer received credit for 398 days served in jail. He was also ordered to pay $1,134 in fines, costs and restitution.
Meyer has previous convictions in Oceana County of third-degree home invasion and breaking and entering a building with intent in 2025. He was convicted of failure to pay child support in Ottawa County in 2010, according to Michigan of Corrections records.
