CUSTER — Mason County Eastern defeated Pentwater Friday in West Michigan D League conference play, 54-34.
“The girls shook off a slow start shooting and were able to then methodically build a lead through the second and third quarters,” said MCE Coach Jake Smith. “In the fourth quarter we were able knock down some free throws and extended our lead.
“We got some great guard play tonight. Emma Whitaker and Brailyn Johnson were really strong for us tonight. Annabelle Zwagerman also had a strong game on the interior with a double double.”
