TRAVERSE CITY — The West Shore Wolves 8U team delivered an outstanding performance at the Traverse City Classic 8U Jamboree at Centre Ice Arena, finishing the weekend undefeated with an 8–0 record and emerging as the only team in their division to go unbeaten.
The Wolves steamrolled through the competition with a combination of relentless skating, sharp shooting, and strong team play. Their weekend included multiple high-scoring victories and shutout performances, showcasing both offensive firepower and defensive discipline as they build momentum toward the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association state tournament March 13-15.
Saturday results:

- Win 5–2 vs. Gaylord Jr. Blue Devils

Beyond the scoreboard, the Wolves showed heart and sportsmanship throughout the weekend. In a special Valentine’s Day gesture, each player presented their moms with a rose, highlighting the family-centered spirit that defines youth hockey and the West Shore Wolves program.
“I’m incredibly proud of how these kids competed all weekend,” said Coach Mark Hamilton. “They skated hard, played for each other, and had a lot of fun doing it. That’s what youth hockey is all about, and this group is something special.”
The Wolves’ dominant showing at the Traverse City Classic reinforces their momentum heading into the state tournament and highlights the bright future of youth hockey in the West Shore community.
