SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central ended its losing streak Thursday by defeating the Holton Red Devils 36-28 in West Michigan Conference Rivers Division play.
Tonight we stopped the losing streak that we were on.
“Holton came to play but we held on and won the game,” said MCC Coach Brent Lyon. “Seniors Jaycee Myer, Jessica Petersen and Aubrey Chye all stepped up tonight in different ways along, with freshman Sage Griswold, to win the game.
“Our offense was solid but our defense was better tonight. We played with focus and determination. This was the third game of the week in four days for my girls and to play this well was impressive. We play three games again next week as well starting with Shelby on Tuesday night which is also parents night to boot. We will enjoy the win tonight and get ready for Shelby tomorrow.”
