Tim Segelstrom

Timothy Allen Segelstrom, 59, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

Tim was born in Muskegon, and later moved to Scottville, where he met his devoted wife, Joanne. Together they built a life in Fountain, where they raised their family and made a home filled with lasting memories.

Tim loved being outdoors and was happiest when he could sneak away to one of his favorite fishing spots, help out on the farm, or wander through the woods hunting for morels. He took great pride in his work at the Ludington Beach House and was always willing to lend a hand, generously volunteering his time at the Fountain Sportsman’s Club.

Tim will be remembered by friends and neighbors for his easygoing presence, often found sitting in his truck with classic rock music blaring, or cruising around the yard on the lawnmower with his grandkids, who were the light of his life. He had a quiet way of showing his love, and those who knew him felt it deeply.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; his children, Christopher Segelstrom, Jennifer (Alan) Stepka, and Randy (Kendra) Taylor; and his beloved grandchildren, Harper, Charlotte, and Alan Stepka, Riley, Natalee, Mollie, and Quinten Taylor, and Destiny Shaw. He is also survived by his siblings, Diane, Sheila (Kim), Denise (Mike), George, Danny, Jeff, and Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Margaret L. Segelstrom; his sisters, Karen and Pam; and his grandson, Zander.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at the Fountain Sportsman’s Club at a later date.
