LUDINGTON — A house at 716 E. Danaher St. was severely damaged by fire early Monday morning. Ludington Fire Department was called to the scene at 2:46 a.m.

Ludington Fire Chief John Henderson said the home’s attached garage was on fire when fire units arrived on scene. The fire quickly extended into the remainder of the house and into its attic.

“The firefighters did a great job given the extent of the fire and the cold temperatures,” Henderson said.

Ludington Fire Department was assisted by Pere Marquette Township, Riverton, and Hamlin Township fire departments.
