Nearly 200 students participate in 41st Math Counts competition

West Shore School News is a presentation of West Shore Educational Service District in partnership with Mason County Press and Oceana County Press.

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — The 41st Math Counts competition was held Thursday, Jan. 22 at West Shore Community College. The event included 197 middle school students from 14 schools.

The event is coordinated by MiSTEM Region 9 and West Shore Educational Service District. Sponsors included PCA, Nordlund & Associates, Harsco Rail, West Shore ESD, Manistee Intermediate School District, MiSTEM Network and WSCC.

The event began locally in 1984 by Nordlund & Associates.
