HOLLAND — The Ludington Boys Swim and Dive Team had an impressive showing at the D3 Midseason Invitational Meet in Holland on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026.
The Orioles achieved five new state qualifying times on their way to an overall sixth place finish. The 200 Medley Relay team of Jaden Vronko, Ian Lundberg, Dylan Sniegowski and Grady Sailor finished in third place with a state qualifying time of 1:43.98. Dylan Sniegowski finished fifth in the 200 free with a state qualifying time of 1:52.76. Ian Lundberg finished sixth in the 200 Individual Medley with a state qualifying time of 2:12.14. Lundberg also finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke with a state qualifying time of 1:05.57. The 400 freestyle relay team of Sniegowski, Vronko, Lundberg and Sailor finished eighth with a state qualifying time of 3:30.65.
Sniegowski finished 3rd in the 100 butterfly swimming a lifetime best time of 54.79 improving over his previous state qualifying performance. Jaden Vronko finished 5th in 100 back with a lifetime best time of 56.69 improving his previous state qualifying performance.
Divers Sawyer Bishop and Grayson Cogle both scored points for the Orioles. Bishop finished fourth with a score of 315.85. Cogle finished 15th with a score of 178.50.
Grady Sailor finished tenth in both his individual events and qualified for the upcoming MISCA meet in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle with a lifetime best in the 50 free with a time of 23.37 and a season best in the 100 free of 51.57.
The 200 free relay team of Easton Warners, Nolan Jorissen, Evan Hansen and Will Ryan finished 13th with a time of 1:43.61.
Every member of this team had at least one lifetime best performance. The meet was exciting from start to finish.
Notable lifetime best times were achieved by Will Ryan in the 500 freestyle who improved his time by more than 30 seconds. Evan Hansen swam his first sub 1 minute 100 free, Kasen Carlsen dropped over 4 seconds on his 200 free, Griffen Jorissen dropped over 4 seconds in the 100 free relay split, Nolan Jorissen dropped 3 seconds in the 200 IM and Easton Warners dropped 2.56 seconds in the 100 free for a final time of 54.52.
