COMSTOCK PARK — Mason County Central’s varsity and middle school competitive cheer teams participated in the Comstock Park Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 3 at Comstock Park High School. The varsity team took sixth place in varsity division 3 competition while the middle school took third place in middle school pool 2 competition.
The meet was the varsity’s first for the season.
“This competition gives us a great starting point to figure out what we need to do to be successful this year,” said MCC Varsity Coach Cheri Stibitz. “These ladies have been working very hard over Christmas break to finish their round 3 routine.
“They finished the routine and were able to have one of the top scores in that round of the competition. We finished this competition right in the middle of the pack and were able to see some competition that we will face at the district and regional level. Great start with lots of room to grow.”
