RAVENNA — Mason County Central scored dual wins Wednesday, Dec. 17, at a tri-meet hosted by Ravenna. The Spartans defeated the Ravenna Bulldogs 60-18 and the Reeths Puffer Rockets 43-36.
Winning both matches on the night were:
- Dameon Letts, junior, 113 pounds
- David Letts, senior, 144 pounds
- William Thomsen, junior, 150 pounds
- William Wright, junior, 157 pounds
- Parker Overmyer, junior, 165 pounds
- Landon Angst, senior, 215 pounds
Winning matches against Ravenna were:
- Noah Williams, freshman, 106 pounds
- Alexis Lathrup, freshman, 126 pounds
- Liam Wicklund, sophomore, 132 pounds
- Kolby Kessel, sophomore, 138 pounds
Winning matches against Reeths Puffer were:
- Ian Sodders, freshman, 175 pounds
- Hunter Copsey, senior, heavy weight
“Having victories was nice,” said Spartan Coach Kenel Trim. “We saw some good things tonight as well as some things we need to work on.”
MCC’s next matches are the Plainwell tournament for girls on Sunday, Dec. 21 and the Freeland Holiday Invitational for boys on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
