UPDATE:
SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — Emergency personnel are at the Sheridan Township Park where they are in the process of recovering the bodies of two snowmobilers. The search for the snowmobilers appearently began in Lake County early Sunday morning.
The Mason County Dive Team is on scene along with boats from Ludington Fire Department and Free Soil/Meade Fire Departments. Also on scene are personnel from Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Fountain Area Fire Department and Hamlin Township Fire Department. Other departments that had responded earlier included Branch Fire Department, Carr Community Fire Department, Sauble Elk Eden Townships Fire Department (Lake County), and Pleasant Plains Fire Department (Lake County).
