WALKERVILLE — Mason County Eastern defeated Walkerville 43-22 during the Cardinals’ season opener Thursday, Dec. 11.
“The girls played a strong first quarter and created a lot of turnovers off their press which lead to some quick buckets,” said MCE Coach Jacob Smith. “I was happy with their overall effort for the first game of the year. We had strong guard play tonight. Emma Whitaker and Brailyn Johnson ran our offensive sets well and we were able to spread the offense around the whole evening.”
