PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 41-year-old homeless man was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot and spit on Mason County sheriff’s deputies at the Brite N Clean Laundromat on Jackson Road Friday, Nov. 28, around 9:30 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The man had been banned from the business the previous day, said Sheriff Cole.
“The day after being trespassed, the suspect was seen on security cameras entering the business and going into a bathroom. He remained in the bathroom until after the business had closed. When confronted by deputies, the suspect threatened to shoot deputies and then spit on them. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.”
The suspect was charged with two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and lodged in the Mason County Jail.
