SCOTTVILLE — A 32-year-old Scottville man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies on charges of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and assault, and a 50-year-old Scottville man was arrested for assaulting/resisting/obstructing police following a 911 call reporting a fight and shots being fired in a home Sunday, Nov. 23, shortly after 11 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“Following the investigation, there was no evidence to support the information related to shots being fired in the home,” said Sheriff Cole. Both men were lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Friday, Nov. 21, 2025:
- 9:58 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 25-year-old Scottville man was arrested for methamphetamine possession, 1500 block of West Dewey Road, Victory Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 10:05 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Townline and Claeys roads, Sherman Township.
- 3:17 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive and US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
- 3:53 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 22-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant issued by Oceana County’s
79th District Court following a traffic stop near Tinkham Avenue and Monona Drive, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. - 5:12 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road north of Fountain Road, Sherman Township.
Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025:
- 6:30 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 and Main Street, Village of Custer.
Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025:
- 10:45 a.m., (MCSO), a 44-year-old Whitehall woman was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant, US 31 and Oceana Drive, Summit Township, Oceana County. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 11:31 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive and Rasmussen Road, Pere Marquette Township.
- 12:13 p.m., (MCSO), a 21-year-old homeless man was arrested for domestic assault and bond violation following a 911 call reporting a fight, 2400 block of West Meisenheimer Road, Riverton Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 6:39 p.m., (MCSO), warrants are being sought for a 32-year-old Scottville woman and a 30-year-old Scottville man following a retail fraud investigation, Walmart, Pere Marquette Township.
- 7:26 p.m., (MCSO), a 43-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding Circuit Court failure to appear warrant issued in Mason County, 4400 block of West Johnson Road, Amber Township. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
