SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — As part of its ongoing commitment to community education and firearm safety, the Fin and Feather Club of Mason County has been awarded a $1,400 grant from the NRA Foundation to support its Educate Youth and Women Program.
“We are very excited about the Educate Youth and Women Program,” said Karen Zimmerman. “We are deeply grateful to the NRA Foundation for its generous support and commitment to fostering educational opportunities that strengthen and benefit our community.”
The program provides hands-on instruction in firearm safety, marksmanship, and responsible gun ownership, with a focus on empowering youth and women. Participants also learn ethical hunting practices and safety strategies, helping to promote confidence, responsibility, and community awareness.
The Fin and Feather Club of Mason County is dedicated to offering year-round educational opportunities focused on firearm safety, hunting ethics, and conservation. The Club also provides programs that support public safety and community wellbeing, including gun accident prevention for children and crime prevention awareness for adults.
