PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 41-year-old Ludington woman was arrested Thursday, Sept. 18 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. The arrest took place in the 100 block of North Jebavy Dr. at 8:45 p.m. Deputies had responded to a report of a possible drunk driver. When they arrived, the suspect had already returned home. During the investigation two handguns were recovered from her vehicle.
Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025 included:
– 6:41 a.m.: car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive south of Dewey Road, Hamlin Township.
– 4 p.m.: A 38-year-old Manistee man was arrested on two outstanding warrants from Ludington Police Department; charges were traffic offenses. Arrest occurred in the 400 block of North Dennis Road, Amber Township.
– 8:54 p.m: Report of larceny of money, 2500 block of West Groth Road, Victory Township.
– 9 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Nurnberg Road east of Federal Forest Road No. 5729.
– 11:30 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Sugar Grove Road west of Custer Road, Sherman Township.
