LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court

Felonies

Newman

-Gavin David Newman, 25; possession of a controlled substance (narcotics/cocaine); arrested Aug. 9 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 9; preliminary hearing: Sept. 24; bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Sluyter

-Shawn Roy Gert Sluyter, 51; third-offense domestic violence; arrested Sept. 7 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 8; preliminary hearing: Sept. 24; bail: $10,000/10 percent.

 

 

Misdemeanors

-Garrett Allen Michels, 25; assault and battery; arrested Aug. 25 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 4; pretrial: Oct. 6; bail: $250 cash.

-Thomas Ray Coffman, Jr., 18; domestic violence; arrested Aug. 19 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 4; pretrial: Oct. 6; bail: $250 cash.

-Roosbelt Valenzuela-Flores, 27; domestic violence; arrested Aug. 26 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 8; pretrial: Oct. 6; bail: $250/10 percent.

-Jonathan Fernando Lopez, 27; domestic violence; arrested Sept. 8 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 9; pretrial: Oct. 6; bail: $500 personal recognizance.

-Elida Marivel Castro, 19; trespassing and disorderly person disturbing the peace; arrested Sept. 8 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 9; pretrial: Oct. 13; bail: $500 personal recognizance.

-Jonathen Michael Luspin, 25; transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle; charged July 26 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 4; pleaded guilty.

-Gavin David Newman, 25; failure to maintain security (no car insurance); charged Aug. 9 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 9; pretrial: Sept. 17; bail: $1,000/10 percent.

-Gary Lee Andres, 74; no proof of insurance and improper license plates; charged Aug. 12 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 4; pleaded guilty.

-Alex Lee Maldonado, 33; operating a vehicle without a license; charged Aug. 4 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 4; pretrial: Oct. 6; bail: personal recognizance.

-Matt Edward Ahlgren, 37; failure to maintain security (no car insurance); charged Sept. 2 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 4; pretrial: Oct. 6; bail: personal recognizance.

-Eric Lovell, 53; creating wake in a no wake zone on Pere Marquette Lake; charged Aug. 16 by Department of Natural Resources; arraigned Sept. 4; pretrial: Sept. 29; bail: personal recognizance.
